”If the British Parliament prevents Brexit happening then they would have put themselves in open rebellion against the British people. This will have profound consequences for any belief left in democracy in the United Kingdom.” UKIP Leader Gerard Batten MEP
On September 29th 2018 a peaceful UKIP event in Bath was vandalised in broad daylight. The perpetrator was caught on camera and the person concerned handed himself in to the police. Video of the offence was taken down whilst the police interviewed the suspect. The perpetrator agreed to pay over £750 for the damage he caused and received an official warning from police. It would be preferable to engage in political debate rather than cause criminal damage. Not very democratic.
